A key role of independent bookstores is supporting community.
Here at the Book Drop, we value our educators and every person that helps foster a love of reading in children. Our brick-and-mortar store, Bethany Beach Books, is an active member in our community, fundraising for and donating to numerous schools, teachers, and other charities in our area.
Not every person has an indie bookstore near them that can help their community in these ways.
Our Book Drop team strives to bring the close-knit, curated indie bookstore feel to readers nationwide.
Giving Book Subscriptions to Worthy Readers
As of March 2025, we're working to give book subscriptions to worthy children and adults within the continental U.S. Do you know a voracious reader, without the economic ability to buy books as fast as they read them? A teacher who strives to make a difference in each child's life?
Nominate a Reader
By accepting nominations, we're able to place books directly in the hands of readers. If selected, we will reach out to them for their mailing information, and start sending a book their way for a set number of months.
Request Donations
For one-time donations (i.e. raffles, fundraisers, galas, etc.), please fill out the form below. While we want to spread the love of reading as far and fairly as we can, we are unable to accommodate all requests. If we can assist, we'll reach out within a week.
