This Shipping & Delivery Policy is part of our Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and should be therefore read alongside our main Terms.
Please carefully review our Shipping & Delivery Policy when purchasing our products. This policy will apply to any order you place with us.
What Are My Shipping & Delivery Options?
In-Store Pickup
In-store pickup is available for select products on our website can be picked up at The Book Drop location in West Fenwick Island, Delaware. Pickups are available Monday - Saturday, 10am-4pm. An email confirmation will be sent to customers when their order is ready to be picked up. Please do not attempt to pick up a purchase before an email confirmation has been received.
Free Shipping
We offer free USPS Media Mail shipping on Subscriptions that state FREE SHIPPING will receive Free USPS Media Mail shipping.
Expedited Shipping Fees
We also offer expedited shipping at the following rates:

If you select an expedited shipping option, we will follow up after you have placed the order with any additional shipping information.
All times and dates given for delivery of the products are given in good faith but are estimates only.
Once an order is packed, readers will receive an email with their tracking number. We ship all subscription mailings between the 16th-20th. Subscribers must subscribe before the 15th of the month to receive that month's subscription mailing. Subscribers who purchase a subscription after the 15th will receive their first book the following month.
How Is My Subscription Fulfilled?
If you are buying a subscription then we will deliver on: Subscriptions ship every month between the 16th-20th. Subscriptions purchased before the 15th will receive the first mailing the same month. Subscriptions purchased after the 15th will receive the first mailing the following month.
One-time purchases have the option to be included in subscription mailings or to be shipped separately. If shipped separately, items will be shipped within 3-5 business days.
Do You Deliver Internationally?
We do not offer international shipping.
Are There Other Shipping Restrictions?
- In terms of shipping, "days" refers to a business day (Monday-Friday).
- One-time orders can be expected to ship within 1-3 business days.
- The Book Drop does not offer international shipping at this time.
- The Book Drop is not responsible for replacing or reshipping mailings that have been lost or Returned to Sender due to an invalid or incomplete address provided by the purchaser.
- Please allow for up to 3 business days for tracking information to update with USPS.
- Addresses for subscription mailings must be updated by the 12th of the month.
What Happens If My Order Is Delayed?
If a delivery is delayed, customers should reach out to support@thebookdrop.com. The Book Drop can only reship/replace mailings after they have been deemed "LOST" by USPS per the tracking number provided or have not had any shipping/status updates for 8 business days* (*12 business days during the months of December & January).
